Tourists have been known to travel for
kilometres for a bite of bush baking at the
Quandong Café in Copley. Located five
kilometres north of Leigh Creek, Copley is a
worthwhile stop on your adventures in the
northern Flinders Ranges. Today it is home
to about 100 people and serves as a friendly
gateway to Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary,
the rugged Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges
National Park, Aroona Dam – offering walking
trails, picnic spots with stunning views and
Lake Frome Regional Reserve, one of many salt
lakes in the region. Now boasting a fantastic art
space, Copley has a welcoming caravan park and
David Cook’s ‘Outback Motors’, a long-standing,
experienced RAA vehicle garage.
