HOMOEOPATHY<br />

Definition<br />

It is defined as non-inflammatory degenerative disorder of synovial joints and is<br />

characterized by wear and tear of the articular surfaces and new bone formation<br />

(osteophytes) at joint margins.<br />

Causes<br />

• Primary: Idiopathic<br />

• Secondary:<br />

o Congenital disorders of joints<br />

o Mal-alignment of joints<br />

o Perthe’s disease<br />

o Osteochondral fracture<br />

o Torn menisci<br />

o Obesity<br />

o Senility<br />

o Occupation involving repetitive strain<br />

Pyogenic arthritis<br />
