With this CD, dedicated to the friendship between Mozart and Haydn, we are far removed from a studio
atmosphere. Recorded live, the recording is very faithful to the concert, to that special communication which
exists between a musician and his audience. Following two of the most famous Mozart sonatas, two Haydn
sonatas in two movements combine seriousness and exuberance, apparent simplicity and studied sophistication.
LdN presents what is probably the first recording on a upright piano of the second half of the 19th century.
This magnificent small-sized Erard from 1867 is perfectly suited to the poetry of the first four opuses of the
Lyric Pieces of Grieg, performed live by Ziad Kreidy. Author of the must-read Les avatars du piano, published
by Beauchesne, Ziad Kreidy is an advocate of piano diversity adapted to everyone.
