The preparation of this report has been an extensive,
collaborative and consultative process,
engaging a considerable number of people
in J&K and around the world - too many to
mention individually by name. Mercy Corps
acknowledges the breadth of the contributions
made and the willingness of organizations and
individuals to be involved.

of the Focus Group Discussions
(FGDs) held with Special Welfare Helpline
(SWH), faculty and students of The Business
School, University of Kashmir, the participants
of the One Young Kashmir: Youth
Leadership Summit, the faculty and students
of Islamic University of Science and
Technology (IUST), the enumerators for the
baseline survey and all the Start Up Kashmir
Network Members.
We also wish to thank all the entrepreneurs,
J&K Government officials, representatives
of financial institutions, media persons and
educators who assisted us with accessing
data and who shared their thinking and perceptions
with us.
We express our deepest thanks and regards to the top brass and staff at JKEDI, CDI, and
JK Bank for their cooperation and their own efforts towards enhancing youth entrepreneurship
in the Kashmir Valley.
Special thanks to Mr. Malik Sajad for contributing his creative talent and extending support
