Management Plan: This component describes the management team and staff and
how the business ownership is structured. People reading the business plan will be
and staff will contribute to the bottom line.
A convenient way to organize the Management Plan within a business plan is to break
it into sections detailing the businesses, including ownership structure, internal management
team, external management resources, and human resources needs.
Financial plan: The financial plan section is the section that determines whether or
not a business idea is viable, and is a key component in determining whether or not
the business plan is going to be able to attract any investment in the business idea.
The financial plan essentially consists of three financial statements (the income statement,
the cash flow projection and the balance sheet) and a brief explanation/analysis
of these three statements.
Milestones and attachments: It sets the plan into practical, concrete terms, with real
budgets, deadlines, and management responsibilities. It helps to focus while writing
a business plan, and then, the Milestones table and plan-vs.-actual management
analysis helps to implement the plan as the business grows. It may also include any
additional information or attachments that may be included in the business plan.
