Purpose of the Position<br />

To be part of distribution team and take part in activities of information dissemination (work<br />

plans), community mobilization including formation of food committees, assessment and taking<br />

measures for crowd control. The Program Officer is supervised by the Hub coordinator for<br />

overall reporting and coordination.<br />

Major responsibilities<br />

Ensure that distribution center is properly organized and secured with ropes<br />

Ensure that crowd control measures are put in places to ensure smooth distribution and flow<br />

of beneficiaries through crowd controllers<br />

Ensure that the most needy/vulnerable members of the community are properly targeted,<br />

reached and protected.<br />

At all times ensure that women, elders and disabled beneficiaries are well catered for


Responsible to ensure that all necessary distribution equipment are available at the<br />

distribution center, including forms, ropers, banners, plastic sheets, measuring devices etc.<br />

Proper and adequate logistical arrangement must be made in conjunction with the distribution<br />

plans for information dissemination to community<br />

Make the assessment/surveys in community to get in touch with needs and issues of the IDPs<br />

regarding food distribution.<br />

Formation of Food Distribution Committee through SOs and ASOs in community and<br />

distribution process in target community<br />
