Mortality and morbidity associated with tricuspid
regurgitation occurring after MV surgery
Although Re-do surgery can be offered to these patients, it may not
improve survival and quality of life at this late stage
!
Despite resolution of tricuspid regurgitation; the 5- year event-free
survival in one series was reported to be 42% , and in another, the 3year
patient survival was 19% .
