Paolo Soldati
Worked at Amersham between 1993 and 2008
(Amersham first, then APB and finally GE), in
Commercial, Life Science – Italy & South EU. Now
am Founder and Chief Executive at Singredia Life
Science, helping start-ups or young companies
going commercial and develop the business. I’m
shortly going to celebrate the 25th anniversary
of my marriage – hopefully!
Pat Easton
Worked in Life Science development from 1984
until it shut in 2003, when moved into QC at GE.
Left in 2009 and am now LabManager at RSLL.
Paul Orange
I worked at Amersham from 1998 – 2005, in
Biosciences R&D – Building 22 at the Grove site.
I have just moved back to the UK from 2 years
in Shanghai as the Asia-Pacific sales director for
PerkinElmer, so am turning my building site into
a house.
Penny Owen
I started in Amersham in Dec 1992, in R&D. I was
part of the new drug screening initiative with the
SPA technology and Technology Transfer. I moved
to product management for SPA in 1998, then
worked on LEADseeker, INCell and related areas
in Marketing until 2005. Since 2005, I’ve been part
of the “Consumables” business (various names for
the business in between due to a series of
re-orgs!), which now includes the Whatman range.
I’m currently the Business Segment Leader for
Specialised Media and reagents, which includes
Amersham & illustra branded molecular biology
products, Whatman FTA & 903 products and our
range of diagnostic membranes.
I’m currently a member of an advisory panel
working with the Welsh Assembly Government
on their strategy for Life Sciences in Wales.
