Sarah Jeffery Worked at Amersham/GE from 1989 – 2005 at St Georges in Mike Billingham and then in Marcomms. I have worked for a primary care company for the last 3 1/2 years as their Head of PR & Communications. During that time seen the company grow from 3 GP practices in Bucks with 30 employees to operating 56 surgeries across UK, looking after 160,000 patients and employing nearly 1000 staff – keeps me busy! Sarah Peterson Started in 1984, in B29 for 6 weeks before moving to PW, initially worked in Immuno-detection research products, SPR, Amerlite / Vitros development until 2000 when J&J OCD R&D shut down. In 2000 – 2002, I worked for Prolifix, a small start-up drug discovery company at Milton Park (Abingdon). Started back in Amersham Biosciences R&D in 2002 but moved to Amersham Health in 2003 (which is now GE Healthcare). I have a real problem remembering who I worked with when! Due to leave end June 2011! Looking for new opportunities from September this year – consultancy plus a move to some Coaching and Mentoring and I’ve also started some 1:1 tutoring Science and Maths, GCSE and A level Biology. Still busy out of work – 2 boys at university. Bee Keeping, backpacking holidays, organising village events, DIY & gardening, Keep Fit, and even some Cricket! Plus lots of socialising. Seema Bennett I worked at Amersham International from June 1995 until July 1998. I am now Sales Director at a corporate wellbeing and nanotechnology company and have lived in Finland and China for 6 years since leaving Amersham. Now have 3 kids. Stephen Archer Business analyst, Consultant and founder of Spring Partnerships. Ran many European and US Sales Conferences for Amersham and GE. Stephen Lewis I joined Amersham in 1982 and worked for Amersham / APB / Nycomed / Amersham and GEHC leaving in 2009 after 27 years.
Steve Capper I worked for Amersham from 1985 in Development in Cardiff – as Project leader, Section Manager, and (for last 10 years) Project Manager. Still at GE. Have just completed a charity bike ride from Holyhead to Cardiff (280miles) – so have sore legs!! Steve Davenport Worked at Amersham from 1989 – 2002 in UK and European Sales, including Drug Discovery Technology Platforms. Currently Vice President European Sales at Cell Biosciences Inc., a life science tools provider. Steve & Sue – Happily married with 15 year old son (can’t believe it!). Steve coaches rugby and Sue provides first aid for Aylesbury RFC U15s. Now own 2nd property on Norfolk coast which we use for relaxing weekends and holiday lets. Both working hard at not trying to work too hard!! Steve Hudson Was at Amersham from 1987 to 1998, returned to Amersham in 2003, and am still here. Have worked in IT, Customs, QA, and now am International Trade Control Leader for EMEA for Healthcare. Stewart Kay I worked at Amersham from Sept 1986 to Dec 2001 in the commercial group (too many departments to mention…). Currently I am Director of Business Development at GlaxoSmithKline. I now do Triathlons and so spend much of my free time swimming, cycling or running. Sue Davenport (Jones) Worked at Amersham from 1976 – 2005 in Life Science Customer Service team and European Marketing Communications. Currently a Marketing Communications Consultant providing services to life sciences, material sciences and medical device companies including clinical areas. See Steve Davenport.
