f) Light vehicles for site supervision including administrative and managerial<br />

requirements.<br />

g) Laboratory equipment and quality control including field and laboratory<br />

testing. (For all the works costing more than Rs. 2.00 Crores contractors<br />

have to establish Quality Control laboratory)<br />

h) Minor T & P and survey instruments and setting outworks, including<br />

verification of line, dimensions, etc.<br />

i) Watch and ward.<br />

j) Traffic management/ Safety management during construction.<br />

k) Expenditure on safeguarding environment.<br />

vi. Sales/ Turn overtax (This is a material VAT component only, however the provision<br />

towards Works Contract Value Added Tax at 5% on the finished work items as<br />

defined in APVAT Act-2005 shall be added in the estimates)<br />

dispensed with where ‘over heads and contractor’s profit’ provision is included in<br />

the data rates)<br />

4.0 OTHER GUIDELINES<br />

a) The estimate preparing authorities are advised to allow relevant Municipal Area Allowance<br />

or any such allowance on the labour components of civil, water supply & sanitary items<br />

wherever applicable as per the guidelines and preamble of Common <strong>SoR</strong>:<strong>2012</strong>-13.<br />

b) The Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) supplied by the vendors/ suppliers shall be used only for<br />

the structures where ‘Ordinary Concretes’ as per IS: 456-2000 are stipulated.<br />

c) For the structures where the Standard and High Strength Concretes vide IS: 456-2000 is<br />

required, mix design shall be carried out as per IS:456. Standard data for design mixes as<br />

approved in A.P. Revised Standard data approved by the Government in G.O.Ms.No.49<br />

I&CAD (PW-Reforms) Dept., dated: 02-03-2009 shall be followed for minimum content of<br />

cement for estimate purposes. Design mixes with cement content less than the approved/<br />

estimated cement contents, necessary recoveries shall be effected as per the review rates<br />

published by Board of Chief Engineers. However, no extra costs shall be allowed for the<br />

cement contents more than the cement contents adopted in estimates.<br />

d) The increase in the supply of SWG Pipes, bends, fittings and other related items as<br />

proposed by the Engineer-in-Chief (PH), has been finalized in the Buildings <strong>SoR</strong>-<strong>2012</strong>-13.
