means ascetic. It is ascribed to Fatimah (the Prophets daughter)<br />

and the Virgin Mary.<br />

Ashabul Aika ح ـــي٣لأا<br />

ةبؾٕأ<br />

Dwellers <strong>of</strong> the wood. Another name for the Midianites. See<br />

Madyan . See Holy Qur'an, Al-Hijr (15):78, Al-Shu'ara<br />

(26):176-191.<br />

Ashab Al-Maimana companions <strong>of</strong> the Right خ٘ٔ٤ُٔا ةبؾٕأ<br />

Literally means "companions <strong>of</strong> the Right", the righteous<br />

people. On the Day <strong>of</strong> Resurrection, Allah Ta'ala will sort out<br />

the good and the evil. They will be divided into three groups:<br />

1. Muqarraboon - the exalted class, those who are<br />

nearest to Allah Ta'ala.<br />

2. Ashab al-Maimana - the righteous people, those<br />

who are destined to enter Jannah (Paradise).<br />

3. Ashab aI-Mash'ama - literally means "companions<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Left"; these people will be the inheritors <strong>of</strong><br />

the Nar (Hellfire).<br />
