Sedum spathulifolium 'Rogue River'<br />

A selection <strong>by</strong> Xera Plants <strong>of</strong> this northwest native stonecrop with rosettes <strong>of</strong> thin, silvery blue, leaves,<br />

thinner and more cupped in this form, and, in summer yellow flowers hovering above the mat forming ground<br />

cover. Found in southern Oregon, these enjoy full sun to light shade in well-drained soil with little summer<br />

water. 4" tall x 12" wide. Stems root e<strong>as</strong>ily, adding more plants. Frost hardy in <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 5.<br />

Sedum spurium ‘Tricolor’<br />

Sweet little sedum, the small, pale green leaves edged in white and rimmed in a bit <strong>of</strong> red that incre<strong>as</strong>es <strong>as</strong> the<br />

weather cools. To only 4" tall x 1 ft wide, these form a small patch <strong>of</strong> summer interest and winter cheer.<br />

Tolerant <strong>of</strong> periods <strong>of</strong> drought and happy with occ<strong>as</strong>ional summer water. Frost hardy to -20F, <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 5.<br />

Semiaquilegia simulatrix 'Early Dwarf'<br />

A lovely little cousin <strong>of</strong> the Columbine with r<strong>as</strong>pberry red flowers in mid spring held above delicate foliage.<br />

Stay to under 18", so it's perfect for that choice little spot in your woodland garden. Part shade to shade in<br />

moist, rich soil– may go dormant if allowed to fully dry out in summer. Hardy to 20 below.<br />

Red leaves tipped green and edged with silvery fur on this hardy, rosette-forming succulent for the rock wall,<br />

outdoor container, hellstrip, or random little nooks and/or crannies....Sun to half shade; sharp drainage. Plenty<br />

hardy! <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 5.<br />

The very sweetest <strong>of</strong> succulents, symmetrical rosettes <strong>of</strong> tightly held leaves, pale green with hints <strong>of</strong> red and<br />

finely cobwebbed over the surface. E<strong>as</strong>y in rock gardens or containers, quickly multiplying to form small<br />

colonies. Summer flowers are rich pink on spikes. Best in rich soil that drains well and occ<strong>as</strong>ional summer<br />

water. Frost hardy to -15F, mid <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 5.<br />

Sempervivum arachnoideum 'Cebenense' cobweb houseleek<br />

One <strong>of</strong> the delightful "cobweb<strong>by</strong>" hens and chicks, this with particularly large, gray-green rosettes covered<br />

with webs <strong>of</strong> white hairs. A prolific species, quickly forming mats, to 8" wide, <strong>of</strong> tidy rosettes for the rock<br />

garden, for tucking into rock walls, any well drained spot in sun to light shade where summer water is<br />

provided occ<strong>as</strong>ionally. Also does well in containers. Frost hardy in <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 5.<br />

Silene dioica 'Clifford Moor' red campion<br />

Who really cares about flowers when foliage can be this scrumptious with its variegated leaves <strong>of</strong> green edged<br />

in gold. Forming clumps 12-1" tall x 1 ft wide, these dieback perennials look lovely all summer but, to give<br />

the flowers their due, are especially fine when adorned with loose cymes <strong>of</strong> pink flowers standing above the<br />

foliage. Best in well-drained soil with protection from hottest afternoon sun and accepting <strong>of</strong> summer water or<br />

dry conditions once established. Frost hardy to -20F, <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 5.<br />
