Ms. Johnson is examining the issue <strong>of</strong> selfhood through reading<br />

Greek literature. She is reading a number <strong>of</strong> Greek works and will<br />

then read the same tragedies again but through the later transla-<br />

tion by the Roman philosopher Seneca. Her project involves a<br />

comparison <strong>of</strong> the perception <strong>of</strong> the self in each culture and time<br />

period.<br />
