The Dammon Dean’s Scholar Program<br />
<strong>of</strong>fers the opportunity for students<br />
to study one-on-one with a pr<strong>of</strong>essor dur-<br />
ing their first year at <strong>Purdue</strong>. Scholars are<br />
free to choose research projects involving<br />
any area in the <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Liberal</strong> <strong>Arts</strong>.<br />
Dean’s Scholar projects expand students’<br />
understanding <strong>of</strong> specific disciplines, de-<br />
velop their academic connections, and test<br />
their personal career choices. In addition,<br />
<strong>scholar</strong>s benefit from having pr<strong>of</strong>essors as<br />
their mentors.<br />
