Professor James Nairne
Mr. Akbar is investigating the evolutionary determinants of
memory in a laboratory setting. He is assisting with the design of
an experiment and helping to conduct the sessions.
Ms. Padgitt is working with scholar Janelle Washburn as an as-
sistant in the Purdue Babylabs. Her duties include calling parents,
caring for siblings of participants, and learning how infant data
is collected by shadowing graduate students. Ms. Padgitt will also
have the opportunity to assist Professor Hollich with data analysis
of his project studying the validity of a laboratory-based measure
of infant vocabulary.
