WORDS PHILIP HEIJMANS
With the Cambodian
economy strong and
stable, and tourism on
the rise, Phnom Penh
has worked hard to steal some of
the limelight away from Angkor
Wat and Siem Reap, and has
made new additions to its tourism
off erings, including glamorous
fashion boutiques, high-end
restaurants, hotels and remedial
therapy centres.
Phnom Penh’s more renowned
spa and treatment centres may
cost a little more than other
dime-a-dozen massage places
in town, but they off er a unique
experience with menus ranging
from skin-brightening salt scrubs
and medicinal aroma therapies
using Cambodian oils and spices
to treatments by internationally
trained hair and nail specialists.
However, as many a parlour’s
inviting exterior belies the
experience inside, be cautious
when booking a treatment. You
won’t go wrong with our picks.
