The Unisa Convocation
A “convocation” is a calling together by means of a summons. The function of the Unisa Convocation is to raise
matters of concern about the development of Unisa, to advise Council or Management on matters of present
interest, to assist the university and the Unisa Foundation with fundraising, and to nominate people for awards
and honorary degrees.
Two members of the Convocation are nominated to serve on the University Council. Every Unisa graduate and
diplomate is a member of the Unisa Convocation and is entitled to attend an annual meeting.
It’s time now to enjoy the credit,
the celebration and the ceremony
that comes with your success.
