Caulfield campus<br />

The campus is located 10 km south of Melbourne’s city centre. It takes about an hour to reach the<br />

campus from the airport by car. The Caulfield Railway Station is adjacent to the campus and four train<br />

lines stop at the station: Cranbourne, Dandenong, Frankston and Pakenham. The number 3 tram from<br />

Swanston Street in central Melbourne will also take you directly to the Caulfield campus.<br />

Travelling to the campus<br />

By car: The nine kilometre (six mile)<br />

trip from the city of Melbourne will take<br />

about 25 minutes in peak hour and 15<br />

minutes at other times. If you are coming<br />

from Melbourne airport, add another<br />

45 minutes in peak hour (and 30 minutes<br />

at other times). A taxi rank is situated<br />

on the railway station side of Sir John<br />

Monash Drive.<br />

An intercampus bus commutes between<br />

the Caulfield and Clayton campuses every<br />

25 minutes, between 7.30am and 9.15pm<br />

Monday to Friday during the academic<br />

year. The pick-up and drop-off point at<br />

Caulfield campus is from the bus shelter<br />

outside Building H on Dandenong Road.<br />

A free evening security bus is available for<br />

staff and students. The bus departs from<br />

the Security Office at half hourly intervals<br />

from 5.30pm to midnight. The bus<br />

operates Monday to Friday from March to<br />

mid-November. The bus drops staff and<br />

students to carparks and main streets<br />

within one and a half kilometres of the<br />

campus.<br />

Parking<br />

A user pay, multi-level car park is available<br />

on campus for staff, students, visitors and<br />

the general public. Entry to the car park is<br />

from Princes Avenue. Ticket machine<br />

parking ranging from one to five hours is<br />

also available in surrounding streets.<br />
