Sadašnje je stanje resursa ocijenjeno izrazito nepovoljnim. U našem dijelu Jadrana ugroženo je više od 120 vrsta<br />
riba, školjki i rakova, što je četvrtina svih organizama koji ga nastanjuju. Zbog tog zabrinjavajućeg stanja,<br />
uzrokovanog prije svega pretjeranim izlovom, pokrenuta je inicijativa za pronalaženjem adekvatnih mjera kojim bi<br />
se situacija popravila - ribarske zadruge su osmišljene kako bi uvele kontrolu na ribarskom tržištu u smislu<br />
postizanja održivog ribarstva. Država nema jasan pogled na stanje ribarskog fonda u moru i njegovu eksploataciju<br />
kroz ribarsko poslovanje. Osnivanjem i poslovanjem preko zadruga dobit će se važni podatci o zonama ulova u<br />
Jadranskom moru, njenim količinama, vremenu ulova, veličini ulova i o ostalim važnim parametrima. S takvim<br />
organiziranim podatcima, država će uz pomoć znanstvenih institucija moći lakše postići održivi razvoj u sektoru<br />
ribarstva na Jadranu.<br />
Ribarska zadruga Friška riba je relativno mlada zadruge koja je krenula s poslovanjem u kolovozu 2010. godine,<br />
meĎutim, u kratkom roku je okupila 57 članova što je trenutačno čini najbrojnijom zadrugom na području Splitskodalmatinske<br />
županije, ali i na području čitave Dalmacije. Uloga zadruge je da ostvari, unaprijedi i zaštiti svoje<br />
pojedinačne i zajedničke gospodarske, ekonomske, socijalne, obrazovne, kulturne i druge potrebe i interese. To<br />
uključuje i edukaciju, servis i informiranje njenih članova (ribara). Kako su još relativno mlada zadruga, nemaju<br />
kapaciteta izdvojiti sredstva za marketing zadruge i izradu poslovnog plana (interni je već napravljen, ali ne od<br />
stručne osobe). Osim što je bitno da se o aktivnostima zadruge obavijesti šira javnost, vrlo je važno informirati<br />
članove o svim dogaĎanjima glede ribarskog sektora. Za to im je neophodna internetska stranica kao vrlo važno<br />
sredstvo komunikacije. Uz to, internetska stranica zadruge će promovirati održivo ribarenje te će time doprinositi<br />
osvještavanju, informiranju i obrazovanju svojih članova i javnosti/potrošača o vrijednostima očuvanja prirode i<br />
biološke raznolikosti Jadranskog mora. Činjenica da se upraviteljica zadruge posvetila biologiji i ekologiji mora te<br />
je trenutačno na poslijediplomskom studiju iz Primijenjenih znanosti o moru, znatno doprinosi uspješnosti i<br />
održivosti ovog projekta.<br />
Ujedno, izrada poslovnog plana od strane stručne osobe je neophodna za uspješno poslovanje zadruge. U<br />
zadruzi su prisutni školjkari, koćari, plivaričari i ribari koji koriste male alate (parangal) tako da je Zadruga u stanju<br />
ponuditi širok spektar proizvoda. Za sada zadruga proizvode plasira samo na domaće tržište, regionalnim<br />
otkupljivačima. MeĎutim, jedan od ciljeva zadruge je da svoje proizvode plasira direktno na europsko tržište (s<br />
naglaskom na Italiju i Španjolsku) kako bi postigli što bolju cijenu tj. što veću dobit za svoje zadrugare. Ribarska<br />
zadruga planira u skoroj budućnosti kupnju zemljišta i izgradnju infrastrukture uz pomoć sredstava Ministarstva<br />
poljoprivrede, ribarstva i ruralnog razvoja (MPRRR), a namjerava se natjecati i za sredstva IPARD fonda.<br />
Rezultat 1: Veća osviještenost ribara i šire javnosti o održivom ribarstvu (indikator: posjećenost internetske<br />
stranice); Rezultat 2: Očuvanje sektora ribarstva kroz pozitivno poslovanje zadruge (indikator: godišnji

Cca 133.600 HRK among which: 1) Cooperative in-kind contribution through managers’ engagement (cca<br />
113.600 HRK); 2) technical assistance for the web site design and content (cca 10.000 HRK); 3) technical<br />
assistance for the business plan development (cca 10.000 HRK). It is useful to mention that starting from the<br />
1 st of January 2011, cooperative turnover amounts to cca 13 million HRK (VAT included).<br />

Sustainable fishing of the Dalmatian region fish stock that belongs to the Adriatic Sea<br />
The current state of resources is rated as critical. In out part of the Adriatic sea there are more than 120<br />
species threatened among which fish, shellfish and crustaceans, what represents a quarter of all our marine<br />
resources. Because of this alarming situation, primarily caused by overfishing, an initiative was engaged to<br />
find adequate measures that would remedy the situation - fishing cooperatives are designed to introduce<br />
controls on the fishing market in order to achieve sustainable fisheries. The government has no clear view<br />
over the state of the fishing stock and its exploitation by fishing operations. The establishment and commerce<br />
through cooperatives will provide important data on the zones of catches in the Adriatic Sea, their quantity,<br />
time of catch, catch size and other important parameters. With such organized data, the government with the<br />
help of academic institutions could more easily establish sustainable development in the fishery sector.<br />
Fisherman cooperative Friška riba (Fresh fish) is a relatively young cooperative that started with operations in<br />
August 2010, however in short term succeeded to gather 57 members what ranks her among the larger<br />
cooperatives of Split-Dalmatia County and beyond, of the whole Dalmatian region. The role of the cooperative<br />
is to realize, improve and protect its own and collective economic, financial, social, educational, cultural and<br />
other needs and interests. This concerns training, service and information of its members (fishermen). As they<br />
are relatively young cooperative they are still not sufficiently capacitated to allocate resource s for marketing<br />
activities and to develop a business plan (an internal BP has been prepared but not by a qualified person).<br />
Besides information dissemination to the large public, it is very important to inform its members about all the<br />
novelties happening in the fishery sector. For that reason they need a web site as a very important mean of<br />
communication. Besides cooperative web site will promote sustainable fishery and in such a way will<br />
contribute to awareness raising, information dissemination and education of the public/consumers on the<br />
importance of Adriatic sea and biodiversity conservation and possibilities of its sustainable use. The fact that<br />
the manager of the cooperative dedicated her long-life learning to marine biology and ecology, and is<br />
currently in post-graduate studies in Applied Marine Sciences, contributes significantly to the success and<br />
sustainability of the project. At the same time, development of the business plan by a professional is needed<br />
for a successful cooperative business activity. Trawlers, purse seine, fishermen who use small fishing tools<br />
(long-line) are all members of the cooperative that can then offer a wide range of products on the market. For

now, cooperative distributes its products on the domestic market only, to regional buyers. However one of the<br />
objectives of the cooperative is to place its products on the European market (with an emphasis on Italy and<br />
Spain) in order to achieve the best possible price, i.e. and higher profits for its members. In the near future,<br />
Fishermen’s Cooperative plans to purchase land and build infrastructure thanks to MAFRD support, and<br />
intents to apply for IPARD funds.<br />
Result 1: Improved awareness of fishermen and public about sustainable fishery (indicator: number of the<br />
web site visits); Result 2: Preservation of the fishery sector through positive business activity of the<br />
cooperative (indicator: annual income for 2012).<br />
