About This <strong>Guide</strong><br />

The person responsible for setting up <strong>Implementer</strong> is referred to as the administrator<br />

throughout this guide. This guide provides the administrator with all the information needed<br />

to configure and maintain <strong>Implementer</strong>. The guide also provides information on configuring<br />

and maintaining the <strong>Implementer</strong> Receiver.<br />

NOTE For information on installing or upgrading <strong>Implementer</strong>, see the <strong>MKS</strong><br />

<strong>Implementer</strong> <strong>2006</strong> Installation <strong>Guide</strong>.<br />

The guide is organized as follows:<br />

Chapter 2: “Understanding <strong>Implementer</strong>” on page 9<br />

Explains important things you need to know and consider before setting up and<br />

configuring <strong>Implementer</strong>. Describes an overview of the change management process in a<br />

multi-platform environment.<br />

Chapter 3: “<strong>Implementer</strong> <strong>Administration</strong>” on page 63<br />

Explains how to configure the <strong>Implementer</strong> host system to suit the development<br />

activities of your organization. Explains important information related to <strong>Implementer</strong><br />

when making changes to the operating system or other system related changes.<br />

Explains the role of the <strong>Implementer</strong> Receiver and the various distribution options and<br />

concepts. Explains how to set up communications within <strong>Implementer</strong> to distribute<br />
