Setup Tasks
The setup tasks required for this scenario are as follows:
1 Create an Environment task. Define the following environments:
Production, one production environment.
Host System Scenarios
Development environment, one development environment for all developers, or
specific environments per developer or project.
Emergency development environment, one development environment for all
developers, or specific environments per developer or project.
2 Create a User Profile task. Define user profiles for the following user roles:
Developer checks out members/objects, performs development, creates a promotion
request that targets production. Additionally compiles the promotion request in the
work library.
Developer with emergency capabilities checks out members/objects using Emergency
Check Out, performs development, and creates an emergency promotion request
that targets production. This developer compiles and moves the promotion request
into the production environment and has conflict resolution capabilities.
Administrator creates projects and moves the promotion request to production.
Multiple Data Libraries, Identical Structures: Scenario 6
Overview
In this scenario, the production application has two database libraries. Both libraries have
identical structures containing the same file objects, however, the data may differ between
one set and the other. Implementer supports this scenario by creating two environments and
