Party Line, the new function for intercom connections in DS-6 systems
A number of persons wish to communicate with each other in a conference call (intercom, half-duplex).
Everybody included in the conference can speak, however they can’t all speak at the same time. Whenever
one person speaks, all the others listen. Participants can be pre-selected. Any intercom station, regardless of
whether it’s digital or analogue, can be included.
To select participants, the MTSD DS-6 digital table call station or any PC call station with touch screen can be
used.
To use the Party Line function of a MTSD-6, the following keys must be reserved:
1. Party Line key to define groups of participants
2. Keys for target call stations (Party Line participants)
3. Party Line key to include your own call station
4. Party Line Speak key (activated only when your own call station is included in the selection)
5. Party Line Cancel key
To select participants, press the Party Line key (reserved for defining groups of participants), and keep it
pressed while at the same time selecting any target call station(s) by pressing the associated key(s).
To unselect participants, repeat this procedure.
Once the Party Line session is finished, all connections can be reset by using the Cancel key.
