12noon John Maytham interviews Isobel Dixon, London based literary agent
about her poetry anthology a Fold in the Map.
14h00 Riaan Manser – enthusiastic author of Round Africa on my Bicycle will
be discussing his fascinating journey around Africa, and you’ll get to
see the bicycle!
15h00 Max du Preez – controversial journalist, author and founder of the fi rst
anti-government newspaper Vrye Weekblad, will discuss his work and
what still motivates him.

12h00 John Maytham - its a hanging matter as he chats to Chris Marnewick.

which gives an authoritative insight into the inner workings of the
ANC. He will be joined by Xolela Mangcu, incisive social columnist,
intellectual and author, whose new book To The Brink has just
been launched.
16h00 The secrets of women writers’ ANGELINA SITHEBE - Holy Hill, JOANNE
JOWELL - The Other Side of Shame and RACHELLE GREEF - Everything
but the Secret of my Whisky.

13h00 Mark Gevisser, the man who has given us Thabo Mbeki – The Dream
Deferred, will no doubt have many anecdotes and answers to your
questions about our president, and the time he spent with him whilst
writing the book.
14h00 Herman Giliomee, well known author of The Afrikaners will be here to
discuss his work and answer any questions you may have about South
African history and in particular the role of the Afrikaans people.
16h00 The interesting and articulate Susan Mann and Sarah Lotz will be talk
about women in writing, their infl uences and motivation and also to
discuss their own work.
