Quick Bytes Workshops
We are introducing a new format
for our technology workshops. The
Quick Bytes format will focus on a very
specific topic that can be covered in
one session. They are designed to give
you a quick introduction to the topic
allowing more time for questions.
We are always open for suggestions,

Quick Bytes: Introduction to
Antivirus/Firewall Software and
Protection
Monday, June 3 | 6:30–8pm

and firewall software for users to
protect their personal home computers.
Information will be provided on various
software packages, implementation and
best practices for safe computing.

to Downloading and Saving
Digital Photographs

to the process of
downloading their
digital pictures from
a camera or storage
media to a personal computer. Options
for storage will also be discussed.

Our computer
volunteers are on
hand to answer
questions about computers, the
Internet, Microsoft applications and
other technology topics. We also have
volunteers that can help answer Apple/
Mac questions. Bring your device
and your questions. Wireless access is
available.

then choose the One–on–One Computer
Help session you would like to attend.
You can also register by calling or coming
into the library. Registration is very
important so that we can prepare
for your questions with enough
volunteers.

Become a CPU Volunteer
Are you good with computers? Do you
enjoying helping others? If so, becoming
a CPU volunteer could be a rewarding
volunteer position for you. CPUs assist
patrons during our One- on-One
Computer Help sessions twice monthly,
help teach technology workshops, and
assist the Technology Librarian and
Network Administrator with various
projects from time to time. Contact
