Quick Bytes Workshops<br />

We are introducing a new format<br />

for our technology workshops. The<br />

Quick Bytes format will focus on a very<br />

specific topic that can be covered in<br />

one session. They are designed to give<br />

you a quick introduction to the topic<br />

allowing more time for questions.<br />

We are always open for suggestions,<br />

Antivirus/Firewall Software and<br />

Protection<br />

and firewall software for users to<br />

protect their personal home computers.<br />

Information will be provided on various<br />

software packages, implementation and<br />

best practices for safe computing.<br />

downloading their<br />

digital pictures from<br />

a camera or storage<br />

media to a personal computer. Options<br />

for storage will also be discussed.<br />

Mac questions. Bring your device<br />

and your questions. Wireless access is<br />

available.<br />

Ancestry Aficionados<br />

Become a CPU Volunteer<br />

Are you good with computers? Do you<br />

enjoying helping others? If so, becoming<br />

a CPU volunteer could be a rewarding<br />

volunteer position for you. CPUs assist<br />

patrons during our One- on-One<br />

Computer Help sessions twice monthly,<br />

help teach technology workshops, and<br />

assist the Technology Librarian and<br />

Network Administrator with various<br />

projects from time to time. Contact<br />
