(The sixth meeting which was earlier scheduled to be held on 29 th , 30 th and 31 st of December 2008 had to be postponed as the Department officials were preoccupied with the extended session of the Maharashtra legislature).

B1 After the proponent made a presentation of the project, the Committee felt that the information made available including the reply to the different points in from IA and IB was too sketchy considering the size of the project. The proponent was, therefore, requested to furnish full details of the proposed project including detailed maps and also a copy of the Township Act and rules made thereunder. B2 It was decided to recommend the proposal for grant of prior environmental clearance subject to the project proponent complying with/furnishing the following: (i) Copy of the letter from Irrigation Department permitting extraction of water from their dam. (ii) Detailed design of the proposed ETP. (iii) Species of the trees proposed to be planted with numbers of each species. (iv) A concise statement of all commitments made by the proponent relating to various environmental aspects. B1 The project proponent wanted the Committee to indicate the TOR for carrying out EIA in respect of the project. The proponent was requested to : (i) conduct EIA as per the model terms of reference for mining project; (ii) furnish copy of the approved mining plan;
