Welcome to the Sivan<strong>and</strong>a <strong>Yoga</strong> Ashram. Founded in 1963, we are located in the idyllic<br />
setting of the Laurentian Mountains, only one hour's drive from Montreal---a sanctuary of<br />
peace <strong>and</strong> natural beauty. We offer courses <strong>and</strong> programmes designed to take you deeper<br />

Swami Sivan<strong>and</strong>a (1887 - 1963)<br />
One of the great saints of modern times <strong>and</strong> the inspiration behind<br />
the Sivan<strong>and</strong>a <strong>Yoga</strong> Vedanta Centres. He is author of over 300<br />
books <strong>and</strong> his teachings continue to enrich the the lives of millions<br />
around the world.<br />
Swami Vishnudevan<strong>and</strong>a (1927 - 1993)<br />
World authority on hatha <strong>and</strong> raja yoga sent to the West by his<br />
master Swami Sivan<strong>and</strong>a <strong>and</strong> founded the Sivan<strong>and</strong>a <strong>Yoga</strong> Vedanta<br />
Centre in 1957. He was a tireless campaigner for world peace <strong>and</strong><br />
author of the now classic Complete Illustrated Book of <strong>Yoga</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />
Meditation <strong>and</strong> Mantras<br />
Swami Mahadevan<strong>and</strong>a (1939 - )<br />
Foremost disciple of Swami Vishnudevan<strong>and</strong>a <strong>and</strong> one of the most<br />
senior teachers within the organisation, Swami Mahadevan<strong>and</strong>a is<br />
Director of the Ashram <strong>and</strong> <strong>Yoga</strong> Acharya (spiritual teacher) for the<br />
organisation's centres <strong>and</strong> ashrams in Canada, India, Italy <strong>and</strong><br />
Japan. He is renowned for his profound knowledge, inspirational<br />
teaching <strong>and</strong> spiritual guidance.<br />
