Maturing or “Kiddie” Lymphs Infants, young children may have some circulating immature lymphocytes Hematogones or “baby B cells” If you’re in the single digits (years), you can have kiddie lymphs The older you are, the fewer we should see in the peripheral blood The younger you are, the scarier they look (beware preemie blood) The clinical picture, CBC, and spectrum of morphology should help Keep in mind “the company they keep”
