With the addition of new vestments acquired this
fall the choir has made a fine appearance at the
Parents’ Day ceremonies, and will take art in the
Christmas program on December 20 as we p l as sing-
ing for the play “When The Chimes Rang.” The
choir will also take part in spring festivities; the
Baccalaureate service, Graduation, and the spring
concert. We have a male quartet and male octet and
a small girls’ chorus that will take part during the
Winter Shows.
The girls’ glee club that meets on Monday afternoons
to practice, will sing at the Christmas Program and
the spring programs as well as at the Spring Concert.
At these practices the girls work out the trouble
spots in their songs and under Mr. Thorson’s ex-
cellent direction they try to get the songs worked up
to near perfection.
Mr. Thorson is the director for the band, choir, and all
the musical organizations. We call him the “The Music
Man.”
