provided in the “Reference” column. The term “GRIN” in the Reference column refers to the
Germplasm Resource Information Network (http://www.ars-grin.gov/). The asterisk in the
Reference column refers to Sefc et al. [4]. Cultivar names are shown and GRIN IDs are
provided in parentheses. The IBD and Z scores are shown. The lowest IBD score from this table
(IBD = 0.466) was used as a lower bound for defining first degree relationships between pairs of
accessions in the present data set. The lowest Z1 score (0.580) and the highest Z0 score (0.121)
were used as thresholds for defining “likely parent-offspring” pairs in our sample.
