How To Use This Register
This register is divided into generations starting with Richard Chaffey of Stoke-sub-
Hamdon, England. He is numbered #1. It ends, at this point, with Jarett Thomas Whittaker
who is numbered #1492 in the Eleventh Generation. If you want to research any single
person, you should follow the procedure listed below.
Example:
1. Use the Index to locate the individual you are looking for.
The index will give you the number of that individual and you can go
into the work to find that number and what generation it is in. Those
numbers will be at the far left.
2. From there you can trace the family either forward or backward by using
the number assigned to that individual and the cross reference to
offspring or parentage. Their offspring will be indented from the
parents and will appear again in the next generation. The parents will
appear in the previous generation with the person you are studying
indented.
