<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> prestigious Graduate<br />

School <strong>of</strong> Banking at <strong>the</strong><br />

University <strong>of</strong> Wisconsin-<br />

Madison held August 12-24.<br />

The school, sponsored by<br />

<strong>the</strong> 18 state bankers associations<br />

comprising <strong>the</strong> Central<br />

States Conference <strong>of</strong> Bankers<br />

Associations, and <strong>the</strong> University<br />

<strong>of</strong> Wisconsin-Madison,<br />

was established in 1945 to provide<br />

bankers with an opportunity<br />

for advanced study and<br />

ics and leadership. Instruction at <strong>the</strong> Graduate School <strong>of</strong> Banking<br />

takes place during two-week resident sessions for three<br />

consecutive summers, along with comprehensive study between<br />

summer resident sessions. The curriculum focuses on<br />

<strong>the</strong> management <strong>of</strong> strategic issues faced by <strong>the</strong> banking executives<br />

and financial services industry pr<strong>of</strong>essionals.<br />

The Graduate School <strong>of</strong> Banking enrolls approximately<br />

550 U.S. and international pr<strong>of</strong>essionals each year. More than<br />

85 esteemed academicians, economists, government <strong>of</strong>ficials<br />

and industry pr<strong>of</strong>essionals comprise <strong>the</strong> school’s faculty.<br />

Mr. Shaffer joined NBOH over three years ago. Since <strong>the</strong>n,<br />

his efforts have put NBOH on <strong>the</strong> map as a proven leader in<br />

<strong>the</strong> local lending market. With this additional schooling, Shaffer<br />

once again proves his commitment to “NBOH–Community<br />

Bank,” and his customers.<br />

No City Fall<br />

Brush Collection<br />

The City <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong> does NOT<br />

have a fall brush curbside collection.<br />

Residents can use <strong>the</strong> City<br />

Compost Site Monday through Friday,<br />

from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., at<br />

11980 Roachton Road OR <strong>the</strong><br />

second or fourth Saturday from 8<br />

a.m. to noon OR use <strong>the</strong> Yard<br />

Waste Bag and Tag Program.<br />

leaf collection schedule<br />

SCHEDULE:<br />

◆ The City <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong> will begin its<br />

fall leaf collection on Monday, October<br />

15. All leaves must be out for<br />

collection by Sunday, November 25.<br />

During this period, <strong>the</strong> city will be<br />

covered several times.<br />

◆ Collection will resume on Monday,<br />

November <strong>26</strong> for <strong>the</strong> final sweep.<br />

LEAVES PUT OUT ONCE<br />

CREWS HAVE BEEN BY WILL<br />

NOT BE PICKED UP. A supervisor<br />

will follow <strong>the</strong> crew to assure<br />

all leaf piles were picked up so<br />

<strong>the</strong>re will be no question.<br />

PREPARE:<br />

◆ Rake leaves to <strong>the</strong> right-<strong>of</strong>-way, <strong>the</strong><br />

area near <strong>the</strong> curb or edge <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

street, but NOT in <strong>the</strong> street.<br />

◆ Pile <strong>the</strong> leaves in <strong>the</strong> right-<strong>of</strong>-way.<br />

Do NOT bag leaves as city crews use<br />

trailer-mounted leaf vacuum units.<br />

◆ Please refrain from piling leaves near<br />

mailboxes and do not park in front <strong>of</strong><br />

or on any leaf piles, as it is difficult<br />

to maneuver <strong>the</strong> hoses around parked<br />

cars.<br />

◆ There is NO leaf pick up in alleys.<br />

◆ Keep <strong>the</strong> storm drains clear <strong>of</strong> leaf<br />

debris. If you have a storm drain in<br />

front <strong>of</strong> your home, remove <strong>the</strong> leaf<br />

debris and add it to your leaf pile.<br />

◆ This is a leaf pick up ONLY. Do not<br />

mix branches and o<strong>the</strong>r debris with<br />

<strong>the</strong> leaf piles, because crews will<br />

leave <strong>the</strong> entire pile.<br />

◆ Inform your landscape company to<br />

NOT blow your leaves into <strong>the</strong> street<br />

when <strong>the</strong>y mow your lawn.<br />

OTHER DISPOSAL OPTIONS:<br />

<strong>of</strong> Art are co-sponsoring<br />

“Meet Me at TMA,” a free<br />

monthly program, on Saturday,<br />

October 6, from 1:30 to<br />

2:30 p.m., at <strong>the</strong> Toledo Museum<br />

<strong>of</strong> Art.<br />

The program is entitled<br />

“Art Comes Alive.” Docents<br />

dressed as characters from<br />

TMA paintings will lead <strong>the</strong><br />

tour.<br />

“Meet Me at TMA” is designed<br />

to provide a fun,<br />

meaningful experience for<br />

museum visitors who have<br />

mild memory loss.<br />

Friends and family are<br />

welcome to accompany <strong>the</strong><br />

visitor. Enjoy an interactive<br />

tour <strong>of</strong> selected works from<br />

<strong>the</strong> museum collection, led by<br />

trained docents.<br />

Guests should meet at <strong>the</strong><br />

information desk, just inside<br />

<strong>the</strong> Grove Place entrance to<br />

<strong>the</strong> main museum building.<br />

Galleries are fully accessible,<br />

and free wheelchairs are<br />

available at each entrance.<br />

Laurie Avery, <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong>,<br />

was one <strong>of</strong> three attorneys<br />

with Reminger Co.,<br />

LPA, in Toledo, who were selected<br />

as <strong>2012</strong> “Who’s Who in<br />

Area Law” by <strong>the</strong> Toledo<br />

Compost Site hours are 7:00 a.m.<br />

to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday,<br />

excluding holidays. The Compost<br />

Site also is available on <strong>the</strong> second<br />

and fourth Saturday <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> month<br />

from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. On<br />

Saturdays, residents may go directly<br />

to <strong>the</strong> Compost Site. Residents must<br />

be on file at <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Public<br />

Service to use <strong>the</strong> Compost Site<br />

on Saturdays. During <strong>the</strong> week, residents<br />

may bring loose or bagged<br />

leaves to <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Public<br />

Service, 11980 Roachton Road, for<br />

inspection and to borrow <strong>the</strong> key for<br />

<strong>the</strong> compost site. Bagged leaves must<br />

be emptied at <strong>the</strong> site and residents<br />

are responsible for taking <strong>the</strong>ir empty<br />

bags with <strong>the</strong>m. First time users need<br />

to bring <strong>the</strong>ir driver’s license to <strong>the</strong><br />

Department <strong>of</strong> Public Service to verify<br />

residency. Check <strong>the</strong> city Web site<br />

2. City yard waste bags may be used to<br />

dispose <strong>of</strong> leaves. They are picked up<br />

on <strong>the</strong> same day as refuse is collected<br />

through November 30. Be sure to<br />

purchase <strong>the</strong> bags with <strong>the</strong> city<br />

emblem on <strong>the</strong>m. City yard waste<br />

bags may be purchased for $2.25 at<br />

Crew Club’s annual fall<br />

The sale will occur from<br />

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. next to <strong>the</strong><br />

greenhouse, which is near <strong>the</strong><br />

entrance to <strong>the</strong> Owens<br />

Math/Science Center on <strong>the</strong><br />

campus on Oregon Road in<br />

The sale will feature a<br />

wide selection <strong>of</strong> shrubs,<br />
