Ever since man crept out of the caves
and started to construct buildings he
has been using mortar in some shape
or form. The first break through came
in the 20th century with the use
of liquid bonding agents and the
second more than 50 years ago with
the development by WACKER of dry
polymer binders – the dispersible
powders. VINNAPAS ® polymer
powders were pioneer products in the
area of drymix mortar technology.

VINNAPAS ® revolutionized the world of
construction by introducing products
that had previously been unthinkable,
products with high mechanical strength
and excellent adhesive power.
VINNAPAS ® polymer powders and
dispersions are found in five major fields
of application: tile adhesives and self-
leveling compounds, exterior insulation
and finish systems (EIFS), plasters/
renders and water proofing membranes
such as sealing slurries.
As well as having superior intrinsic
properties, VINNAPAS ® polymer powders
and dispersions are so designed to
be formulated in highly sophisticated
construction products.
Further challenges are also on the
horizon: environmental compatibility,
healthy living, living closer together and
aesthetics – these are all aspects of
construction that we continue to work
