The pace of life here is a little slower and a little friendlier than most places, so take your time
and be prepared to be greeted by staff (and local customers!) in the stores you visit.
The currency of the Cayman Islands is the Cayman Islands Dollar, but everywhere will accept
US dollars also and all major credit cards are accepted on island in most locations. Prices can
be in either US$ or CI$ so check with the store, the Cayman dollar has a fixed exchange rate
with the US dollar of CI$1 = US$1.20.
The national language is English, and everyone who lives and works in Cayman will speak it.
There are many other nationalities and languages spoken here also, particularly Spanish which
is very common.
