TECHNICAL INFORMATION
L’ANTIC COLONIAL OUTDOOR DECKING
Even though outdoor woods are particularly resistant, they need to be treated
with oil for outdoor wood to ensure a long-lasting life. The woods chosen
by L’Antic Colonial are high density ones with a fine-to-medium grain and
they are not prone to splintering.
With these woods, L’Antic Colonial opens up new potential in outdoor
home design, ensuring greater elegance plus decking that blends in perfectly
with the natural surroundings. Arousing endless new sensations and
making the home the perfect place to live.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
-Decking should be treated with L’Antic Colonial ACEITE TARIMA EXTE-
RIOR/OIL DECKING from time to time so that it conserves its visual appeal
for much longer. This should be done throughout the year, preferably before
a new season begins.
-Do not oil the wood when it is sunny. It is better to do it in the early morning
or late afternoon. Do not apply on wet surfaces or when it is about to
rain.
-Two coats should be applied, rubbing the oil on parallel to the wood grain.
-The wood decking should have settled fully about one year after it is
erected.
-Never use a mop to clean the wood. Always use a sponge or soft cloth.
OUTDOOR CARE
-ACEITE TARIMA EXTERIOR/OIL DECKING Coverage: 80-100ml/m2.
-The oil improves the wood’s resistance and brings out the beauty of the
grain, while protecting against.
-Ultra-violet rays, fungi and bacteria.
-Clean the wood thoroughly and let it dry completely before treating it.
-Application:
Apply between +10ºC and +30ºC at a relative humidity of ≤ 80%. Use a
clean paintbrush. Apply one coat, leave to dry for 12 hours, and apply a
second one.
-After leaving it to dry (12-24 hours), polish with an abrasive mesh sanding
disc and vacuum away any remains.
-After sanding, apply a second coat of the product.
-Clean away any surplus oil with a solvent or alcohol before it hardens.
