QUALIFICATION STANDARDS FOR MANUAL JOBS<br />
H-1. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS. Jobs <strong>for</strong> which this standard will be used<br />
are listed in Appendix B. Applicants must have specialized experience and/or English ability as shown<br />
below:<br />

H-2. ROK MILITARY VETERANS. Applicants <strong>for</strong> Janitor and Laborer positions will be restricted to<br />
honorably discharged ROK military service veterans, unless such personnel are not available.<br />
H-3. GENERAL EXPERIENCE. No prior experience or education required.<br />
H-4. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE. Specialized experience is defined as progressively responsible<br />
experience in the line of work <strong>for</strong> which being considered.<br />
H-5. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE. Applicants <strong>for</strong> Leader, Senior Leader, and Foreman positions<br />
must have 1 year of experience comparable to the next lower level in the specialty <strong>for</strong> which being<br />
considered. Applicants <strong>for</strong> Senior Leader or Foreman positions will also be rated as qualified if they<br />
have 2 years of specialized experience in a job two levels below the job <strong>for</strong> which being considered.<br />
H-6. ENGLISH ABILITY. Each component establishes requirements <strong>for</strong> English ability and<br />
procedures <strong>for</strong> English proficiency tests.<br />
