<strong>GAUTENG</strong> AND ThE chANGEs<br />
In line with the renewal process in Gauteng, government<br />
functions and service delivery structures have been<br />
subjected to review to determine the most appropriate<br />
departmental location and combination of functions.<br />
This review resulted in the organisational adjustment of<br />
And the MEC team is as follows:<br />

departments with the aim of optimising the prospects of<br />
meeting the identified priorities and fulfilling the electoral<br />
mandate.<br />
The primary objective of this process is to enhance<br />
institutional capacity within GPG to deliver services to<br />
the public and to realise statutory and political mandates.<br />
The focus is not merely on the structural design of the<br />
departments but on how they reposition holistically to<br />
improve efficiency, effectiveness and a renewal of the<br />
culture of service delivery.<br />
As a first step in this process, the Premier appointed<br />
Members of the Executive Council and Heads of<br />
Department for the political and administrative<br />
responsibilities of their respective departments.<br />
