It’s just what we do.
• In 2010 –11, 65 undergraduate students received scholarships from
GAA-supported initiatives, such as the Light on the Hill Society
and local Carolina Clubs.
• Last year, 4,700 alumni and guests reconnected with Tar Heel friends
during a reunion event on campus, including 1,200 attendees for
the Black Alumni Reunion Thirty Year Celebration.
• In 2010 –11, more than 1,350 alumni attended a GAA regional
program in their hometown.
• GAA staff maintain nearly 280,000 living alumni records and made
50,000 address changes and 27,000 name changes last year.
These initiatives are supported by GAA member dues.
