Tessa Balsick<br />

Assistant Coach<br />

2nd Season<br />

Tessa Balsick begins her second season with the Golden Eagles as<br />

the women’s assistant basketball coach.<br />

Balsick completed her master’s degree in physical education from<br />

Emporia State University in Emporia, Kan. While there, she served<br />

as a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball team. In those two<br />

years (2007-2009), ESU women’s basketball compiled a 49-14 record<br />

with two conference championships and two national tournament<br />

appearances, including a Sweet 16 performance in 2008 at the NCAA<br />

Division II level.<br />

“Tessa is a huge asset to the women’s basketball program at the<br />

<strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Southern</strong> <strong>Idaho</strong>,” said head coach Randy Rogers. “She has<br />

a lot <strong>of</strong> energy, excitement and coaching experience. We are thrilled we<br />

have her.”<br />

A native <strong>of</strong> Monument, Colo., Balsick was a state high school all-star at Lewis Palmer High School. She<br />

played one year <strong>of</strong> basketball at Metro State in Denver before finishing her bachelor’s degree at Colorado State<br />

University.<br />

After graduating from CSU, Balsick coached<br />

at Douglas County High School in Castle Rock,<br />

Colo. and worked closely with the women’s<br />

basketball program at the United States Air Force<br />

Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.
