Laurel Kearsley “Laurel brings great leadership on and off the cour t. She is an All-American who is very aggressive on the boards and has the ability to stretch the defense with her 3-point shot.” Coach Rogers At CSI: Laurel was a first-team Region 18 selection as a freshman as well as a NJCAA All-American. She led the Eagles in rebounds and ranked four th in scoring and assists and second in steals per game. Before CSI: A three-spor t athlete at Teton High School, Laurel fnished her high school career with eight league championships spanning volleyball, basketball and softball. Twice she helped her high school softball team to four th-place finishes at state and as a senior, she led her basketball team to a four th-place finish. Laurel earned Player of the Year honors in basketball and softball for District 6. Up Close with Laurel 6-0- Post Sophomore Victor, Idaho - #30 Twin Falls is different from where I am from because: it is bigger, and doesn’t have farms. The things that are impor tant to me right now are: my friends and family. A one-word description of myself: Unique I can’t stand the smell of: someone wearing too much perfume. Interesting Fact: I have 29 nieces and nephews, with two on the way. I am not good at: golf. She has such a thirst to learn and get better. We are excited to watch her grow.” Coach Rogers Before CSI: Tayllor lettered four years, three at Washington Prep High School and her senior year at Palmdale High School, earning second team all-league as a sophomore and first team all-league as a junior and senior. In 2008-09 and 2009-2010, Tayllor was runner up for Player of the Year in her league. She was selected to play in two all-star games in 2010 and earned MVP honors at both of them. Up Close with Tayllor What’s impor tant to me right now is: getting a good education and a college degree. Favorite Food: French Fries and Pizza I am not good at: Math Hidden Talent: I can skateboard. Favorite kind of cookie: Peanut Butter Favorite Toy as a Child: Nintendo 64 Favorite Fruit: Strawberries “Guilli is a very athletic guard that can create shots for her teammates. She is a very unselfish player that would rather pass than shoot. Her quickness gives us another powerful defensive player.” Coach Rogers 15 Guilhermina El-Mir Before CSI: Guilhermina played state softball and track and field at Blakehurst High School. Outside of school, she played for the Sydney Comets in the Australian Basketball League, leading them to the championship last year. She averaged 16 points and 10 assists per game. Before playing for the Sydney Comets, she played for the Bankston Bruins for three years, making it to the semifinals every year. Up Close with Guilhermina My first impression of Twin Falls was: that it is quiet. Hidden Talent: Cooking What I’m not good at: Juggling I can’t stand the smell of: milk.
