PWM Overview<br />

Concept<br />

The PWM function block generates a square wave signal on dedicated output<br />

channels Q0, Q1, Q2, Q3, with variable width and duty cycle.<br />

PWM Characteristics<br />

The following table shows the general characteristics of the PWM function:<br />

Duty cycle See graphic below<br />

Due to the switching properties of the transistor outputs, not all duty cycle values (%)<br />

are supportable at all frequencies. If a requested duty cycle at a given frequency<br />

would require the transistor to switch on or off in less than its physical limits, it is<br />

considered an invalid duty cycle.<br />
