Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)
PWM Overview
Concept
The PWM function block generates a square wave signal on dedicated output
channels Q0, Q1, Q2, Q3, with variable width and duty cycle.
PWM Characteristics
The following table shows the general characteristics of the PWM function:
Characteristic Specifications
Max. number of PWM 4
Frequency range 10...65000 (Hz)
Duty cycle See graphic below
Due to the switching properties of the transistor outputs, not all duty cycle values (%)
are supportable at all frequencies. If a requested duty cycle at a given frequency
would require the transistor to switch on or off in less than its physical limits, it is
considered an invalid duty cycle.
