setposix - set POSIX compatibility flags<br />

setposix is equivalent to the following code fragment:<br />

COMPAT_POSIX is equivalent to all of the following:<br />

COMPAT BSDGROUPS<br />

COMPAT BSDCHOWN<br />

COMPAT BSDSIGNALS<br />

COMPAT BSDTTY<br />

COMPAT SYSCALLS<br />

COMPAT POSIXPATHTRUNC<br />

COMPAT EXEC<br />

Any non-POSIX compatibility flags that were set prior to the call<br />

to setposix are reset<br />

RETURN VALUE<br />

Upon successful completion, setposix returns the previous<br />

compatibility mask. Otherwise, a value of -1 is returned and<br />

errno is set to indicate the error.<br />

ERRORS<br />

setposix will return the following error code:<br />

[EINVAL] setposix results in a change in the state of<br />

the COMPAT BSDSIGNALS bit and a signal is<br />

currently pending, caught, or held.<br />
