Stanley Buye, age 86, of New Lisbon, died at the Fair View Nursing Home, on Monday, Feb. 16,
2004. Stanley was born on July 4, 1917, in Waukesha, the son of Marcus and Laura (Strassburg)
Buye. He worked at Arthur Overgaard Construction from 1933 until his retirement in 1967, as
partner and part owner. He enjoyed wintering and fishing in Florida, and his lakehouse in
Wisconsin in the summer. He was a great Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers fan and
loved to play cribbage. He will be missed by family and friends. Survivors include his wife,
Margaret (Steiner); a daughter, Sue Ann (Marple) of Florida; sons, Art of New Lisbon, and Steven
(Nina) of Florida; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille and later
his second wife, Genevieve. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004,
at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 701 Grove St., Mauston. Burial will be at the Mauston
Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at the
CRANDALL FUNERAL HOME, Mauston, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at Bethany
Lutheran Church on Thursday.
