Please bring with you:<br />
1. one passport size photograph (3,5 x 4,5 cm)<br />
2. the payment form for student union member fee (ÖH-Beitrag) with seal from the bank. This payment<br />
form you’ll receive at the international office when you ask for an Orientation date there.<br />
3. one copy of your passport/personal ID-card (with nationality) (if not yet sent to the main international<br />
office)<br />
You then will receive your student-ID card, which you should always take with you!<br />
SCHEDULE FOR SECOND COURSE REGISTRATION PERIOD:<br />
Wednesday, 26.09.2012 (9 a.m.) – Thursday, 27.09.2012 (5 p.m.)<br />
After the auction (the day after the main registration period did end) please check in the UNIVIS<br />
course registration system (https://univis.univie.ac.at/as_anmeldung/) if you were accepted in a course<br />
or not.<br />
If you were not successful with one or more courses you should first check if there will be offered<br />
additional courses with the same content during the second registration period, see above. If there is<br />
offered an additional course, please register for the additional one and check after the end of this<br />
second registration if you were accepted or not.<br />
If there is no additional course offered or if you have not been accepted for an additional course<br />
please either contact the teacher or the secretary of the course that you are on the waiting list and<br />
inform them that you are an exchange student. Usually you should receive a place in this course.<br />
Should there occur any problems please let us know immediately! Some weeks later in the semester<br />
we cannot help you anymore!<br />
Please be aware that you have to be in the first lesson of each course, for which you did register for!<br />
If you do not show up, you will lose your place! If it is not possible to come to the first lesson,<br />
please inform the teacher directly via e-mail, that you cannot come!<br />
LEARNING AGREEMENT<br />
As soon as you have decided which courses you will really follow please fill in the Learning-<br />
Agreement (the form is attached) and bring it to our office! Deadline: End of October.<br />
Should there be any changes during the semester, please let us immediately know! Without having<br />
appropriate information we cannot check any details of courses, grades.<br />
Without handing in your Learning Agreement you may not receive your transcript at the end of<br />
the semester!!!<br />
DROPPING A COURSE<br />
There is time until 14.10.2012 to drop a chosen course and to try to sign in for another one! If you<br />
drop a course after this date you will be sanctioned, you will have a FAIL (5) on your transcript of<br />
records for this course even if you didn’t take part in it. This is a regulation by the director of the study<br />
programmes and this measure must be carried out by all lecturers! So please make sure to drop a<br />
disliked course on time!<br />
ECTS-CREDITS<br />
The ECTS-Credits for each course you can find in the Online-Vorlesungsverzeichnis of the University<br />
of Vienna http://online.univie.ac.at/vlvz?lang=en&extended=Y<br />
Please contact your coordinator at home, how many ECTS-credits you really need to fulfil. In the past<br />
we did learn that it can be very hard for exchange students to attend courses with a total amount of 30<br />
ECTS-credits. Therefore we would like to recommend you to take courses with a total of 24 – 26<br />
