CSI is bringing the Dance to Wellness Zumba sensation outdoors.<br />
So bring your workout clothes and water and get ready to have an<br />
absolute blast as you enjoy the fusion of hypnotic Latin rhythms<br />
with international music that create a dynamic, exciting and one<br />
of a kind dance experience. Sign ups will be available at 6pm at<br />
the U-SU Plaza. Minors must pick up a consent form in advance<br />
at CSI located on the second Floor of the U-SU room 204. Class<br />
will begin promptly at 6:15pm.<br />

Cal State L.A. students, it’s time to show off your amazing<br />
artistic talents as CSI brings you the 2nd annual Art It Up<br />
competition! You can enter one piece of work into each of<br />
the following categories: sketching/drawing, painting, 3D<br />
art/sculpture, and photography. The winners, chosen by the<br />
students, faculty and staff of Cal State L.A., will be revealed<br />
on Wednesday, May 26, and will win cash prizes! Each<br />
submission should include a title and a very brief description.<br />
Entries must be received by May 24th at 6 pm.<br />

Ever wish you had a mentor while navigating the college<br />
experience? Do you often think about giving back to your<br />
community? The S.T.A.R.S. Mentoring Program may be a great<br />
way to connect with a new 1st year or transfer student. Learn how<br />
to get involved during the <strong>2010</strong>-2011 academic year as a mentor.<br />
This session will provide you with an overview of the program’s<br />
goals and objectives, the role of a mentor, and opportunities to<br />
sign up for the upcoming academic year.<br />

preferences regarding various ethnic groups, with some<br />
focus on the perception of Asian Americans and dating.<br />

action plans to create an equitable and inclusive campus<br />
community around ethnicity, class, and gender issues.<br />

<strong>Student</strong>s and scholars from the Cal State L.A.’s Department of<br />
Pan-African Studies, Pan Afrikan <strong>Student</strong> Collective, and Pan<br />
African <strong>Student</strong> Resource Center present their current research<br />
on topics about and of interest to the Pan African community<br />
on campus and abroad. Prolific actor, pan-Africanist and activist,<br />
Isaiah Washington, serves as keynote speaker, and discusses<br />
Sierra Leone and his own journey and ancestry within the<br />
context of a Black world that is resdiscovering the power of pan-<br />
Africanism in this time of crisis.<br />
