Ravichandran’s total agriculture land is 60 acres, but the extent of paddy cultivation
differs every season (see table under SRI adoption). He uses bore well water, as
well as water from the Kaveri river. The soil type is alluvial clay.

Ravichandran was introduced to SRI by TNAU.

the table, he has taken SRI paddy in different 2005 Samba 60.70

paddy: Kuruvai – TKM 9, CORH 1; Samba – 2007 Kuruvai 10.00
CR1009; Thaladi – ADT 39, Ponni and uses the 2007 Samba 40.15
following inputs: Cattle farm yard manure, DAP, 2007 Thaladi 10.00
and Urea.
