CuRB/SidEWalk PRogRaM<br />
The Engineering and Public Works Department has a "share the cost" replacement program for curbs<br />
and sidewalks. Residents replacing driveways may want the sidewalk, curb and gutter replaced<br />
simultaneously. The Village may share the cost of this replacement with the homeowner. For<br />

faMilY CounSEling CEnTER<br />
The Schaumburg Family Counseling Center provides counseling services for village residents on<br />
issues such as school problems, discipline concerns, marital difficulties, conflicts relating to divorce<br />
and remarriage, job-related problems and other areas of concern. The Family Counseling Center is<br />

faRMER’S MaRkET<br />
Fresh from the farm produce is sold at Schaumburg’s Farmer’s Market held one day each week<br />

SChauMBuRg MuniCiPal hEliSToP<br />
The Schaumburg Municipal Helistop (landing pad for helicopters) is located one block south of Golf<br />
Road on America Lane between Plum Grove Road and State Parkway. The helistop is equipped with<br />
pilot lead in lights and a windsock along the 25’ x 25’ concrete pad. Helicopter parking available<br />
adjacent to the pad and there are two spaces available for vehicle parking. The helistop is available<br />
daily between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. (847-923-3860).<br />

A wide variety of housing is available including single-family homes, apartments, duplexes and town<br />
homes.<br />
A Residential Rehabilitation Program is available to Schaumburg residents. The village provides loans to<br />
income qualifying homeowners. For additional information call 847-923-3851.<br />
liBRaRY<br />
The Schaumburg Township District Library is located in Schaumburg’s landmark Town Square at the<br />
corner of Roselle and Schaumburg Roads. It is the second largest public library in the State of Illinois<br />
and is the designated business library for the Chicago suburban area. It is set up to draw on the<br />
resources of thousands of other state libraries through the inter-library loan service. The full-service,<br />
state-of-the-art library also presents various programs and classes for all age groups. For additional<br />

Crutches, walkers, wheelchairs and similar items are available, on a loan basis, to residents. Refundable<br />
deposits are required and the equipment must be picked up at the Public Health and Nursing Division,<br />

ouTdooR SuMMER ConCERTS<br />
Free Summer Breeze Concerts, featuring a variety of musical performances, are held at the Prairie<br />
Center outdoor stage on several Saturday evenings throughout the summer. The stage is located at the<br />
intersection of Schaumburg Road and Summit Drive. The concerts are co-sponsored by the Village of<br />
Schaumburg and the Schaumburg Park District. Call 847-895-3600 for information.<br />
PaRkS and RECREaTion<br />
The Schaumburg Park District maintains more than 1,000 acres of landscaped parks including Spring<br />
Valley Nature Sanctuary, a prairie wild life preserve and an indoor and outdoor museum. The Park<br />
District also operates four community recreation centers, including the Water Works Oasis, a spectacular<br />
indoor pool facility. Golf courses, racquetball courts, summer boat rentals and three outdoor swimming<br />
pools also are under the District’s jurisdiction. Classes in a variety of subjects, senior citizen activities<br />

An annual two-day judged arts show and<br />
sale, featuring the work of more than 150<br />

SChauMBuRg REgional aiRPoRT<br />
The Village of Schaumburg purchased the<br />
Schaumburg Regional Airport in 1994 and<br />
has since made numerous improvements<br />
that have transformed the facility into one<br />
of the premier general aviation facilities in<br />
the area. For the non-flying public, the<br />
airport boasts a family orientated, aviationthemed<br />
restaurant. The airport is home to<br />
several general aviation businesses<br />
including flight training, aircraft charters,<br />
aircraft rental, helicopter rides, airplane<br />
rides an aircraft maintenance. In addition,<br />
the Schaumburg Regional Airport is home<br />
to all of the local network television news<br />
