Green Mountain Rifle Barrel Companies is pleased to offer it's most
technologically advanced barrels for the Ruger 10-22 rimfire rifles.
The barrels utilize a precisely machined
barrel made of extremely rigid and
durable 410 stainless steel surrounded
by a shroud of 6061T6 seamless aerospace
tubing. The shroud is double o-ring
dampened at the chamber end to ensure
consistent alignment and vibration abatement.
The 16* barrel is free floated from
1' in front of the chamber to the 11 -
degree muzzle crown. The stainless steel
barrel is stress relieved after all machining
to ensure stability and accuracy. The
semi-auto match chamber is of the Bentz
type and mated to a faster 1:15 rifling
twist for better performance with competition
ammunition while still giving great
service with the least expensive bulk
ammunition available. The barrel shroud
is .92* in diameter allowing use in all
readily available stock made for traditional
"bull* type barrels. The Competition
Model has an adjustable barrel weicfit
integral to the shroud and never touches
the inner barrel. The Sporting Model utilizes
the same chamber and rifling as the
competition models but features an ultralight
machined and anodize surface finish
in five color choices. The Sporting Model
shrouds are interchangeable with the
Competition Model's barrel weight version
allowing for a great deal of flexibility.
At a weight of about one pound these barrels
bring a degree of flexibility, style and
performance rarely achieved in ultra-licfit
rifle design.
