away suddenly Sunday December
23, 2012. Misty was
an employee of Hardee’s and

BUCKNER,GERALD R. age
77, of Tellico Plains, TN, formerly
of St. Augustine, FL,
passed away Tuesday, December
25, 2012 at his home,
surrounded by his family. He
was a very loving husband
and father and had served his
county in the U.S. Marine
Corps during the Korean War
where he had special training
as a sniper. Gerald was a self
taught artist specializing in
woodcrafts. He ran his own
art school in St. Augustine
and was locally known as the
“St. Augustine Artist”. He was
preceded in death by his par-
ents, Charles and Theresa
Buckner and one sister, Janet
Jones. Survivors: Wife: Joan
Buckner , Tellico Plains, TN;
Daughter and son-in-law:
Elaine and Emery Bailey Tellico
Plains, TN No formal
service or visitation will be

SHULER, WILLIAM ED-
WARD, age 84, of Maryville,
passed away 3:53 p.m. Tuesday,
December 25, 2012 at
home. He retired from the
military after 34 years service
in the United States Army,
Navy and National Guard.
Preceded in death by wife,
Georgia Cable Shuler. Survivors:
daughter and son-inlaw,
Deborah and Rocky
Green, of Sweetwater; sons
and daughters-in-law, Floyd
and Denise Shuler, Madisonville;
