Linear parameter varying controllers for complex networked systems
Many complex technical systems such as wind turbines / farms are inherently
nonlinear and subjected to conflicting requirements. The goal of this thesis is to
develop novel controller design methods for such systems. In particular, the goal
of the thesis will be to investigate how the linear parameter varying controllers
can be applied to the control of renewable energy sources, such as the wind
and solar power generation. In case of distributed control solutions, the
influence of possible delays and information losses in the underlying
communication links will be investigated.
