addition to the Women’s <strong>Studies</strong> Across Cultures <strong>International</strong> Consortium, the Women’s <strong>Studies</strong><br />
Center is part <strong>of</strong> the GEMMA Master's degree in <strong>Women's</strong> and Gender <strong>Studies</strong> in the European<br />
Union. This is the first Erasmus Mundus Master’s in <strong>Women's</strong> and Gender <strong>Studies</strong> in Europe.<br />
GEMMA is an interdisciplinary program that provides high quality academic education and pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
competencies for personnel working or intending to work in the areas <strong>of</strong> <strong>Women's</strong> <strong>Studies</strong>, Gender <strong>Studies</strong> and<br />
Equal Opportunities across Europe. There are eight universities in this European consortium:<br />

GEMMA World makes it possible for European students <strong>of</strong> the GEMMA program to visit non‐European research<br />
and higher education institutions. The students receive a scholarship <strong>of</strong> 3,100 euros to spend a short research<br />
or study period (up to 3 months) in one <strong>of</strong> these prestigious third country institutions during the 4 th semester<br />
